shortly after the first spot, it started to rain. so we went and got some wonderful Estrella and wandered the streets of Badalona, looking for spots. and food. we did find spots, but goddamn it, spanish people dont like to work on rainy days. after what felt like walking all the way to great britain on foot, we decided to just buy noodles at a supermarket and cook them at the hostel.
where we decided to order pizza.
have you tried ordering pizza without speaking Catalan? its fun. you yell some english words at your phone, some old guy yells something in catalan, and after 30 minutes of wondering if our order actually came through the pizza arrived. yay.
as you might have guessed because of my pulitzer-award-winning title, this is gonna be a series of posts about barcelona.

this is one of my favourite pictures from this summer, even though you kinda wouldnt expect it to be shot in warm weather. this is mostly due to the fact that it was shot in Oulu, Finland, on its most popular beach. well, you can kinda see how popular it was this particular day haha.. the mood there was stunning though, blue skies, a incredibly sandy beach and a nice cafe. this picture just represents the perfect reason to travel: make new experiences that you havent had before, learn from them and then go on searching for that next experience. and never stop.

Alli had a very special last minute idea: the beach (google Nallikari Oulu to get an idea)! it was perfect. well, except for the temperatures at least.
believe it or not, there seem to be some sunny days in the far north. we just so happened to actually catch one during our 5 days up there. not bad for a season where the sun pretty much never goes down (unlike some boats, as shown here…)
so, as predicted by me, this entry is about a wedding. in Oulu. the far north. of finland. *insertthenorthshallrisepunhere*
naturally, we expected snow, igloos, reindeers, eskimos, northern lights, santa clause and lonely drunk eremites, or in short: finnish summer.
only .. like.. 4 of those cliches were actually proven wrong.
first off, the wedding was a blast, the bride (and the groom) were beautiful, happy and looked like 100 bucks. here, see for yourself.

we recently had the amazing opportunity to attend a wedding in Oulu, Finland. in order to get there, we stopped by Helsinki first. here area few impressions, which are mindblowing, to say the least.
