i think i already covered this on this blog once or twice, but its always great to be reminded that theres nothing better than a concert in a steamin hot and humid place when its already too warm outside. yesterday was no exception. the amazing BHF , Petrol Girls and Remedy played a show at the Sub Graz.
BHF somewhat reminded me of the likes of Have Heart, but i am terrible at all things music related so maybe i am completely wrong. loved their show. The Petrol Girls played great Riot Grrrls inspired punkrock, but i had to go outside after 3 songs because it was simply too warm. kudos to the bands that played in that heat. sadly, i didnt take any photos during those first 2 bands because i was waaay to busy acting like a cool guy and looking good, or short: i suck. at least listen to a few songs of those 2 great bands. next time you see me, feel free to slap me. then again, if you look at my crappy photos you might as well be relieved.
Remedy played an amazing show all around, but the 2 bonus songs blew everyone away: both featured great guest singers, first one was “i believe in a thing called love” by the darkness, second one “decaptacon” by le tigre. goddamn that was great.
sorry for my incredibly noisy/dark/blurry shots, blame my old ass camera. if you wanna see better shots, better send me some money. or hatemail. fine with both.
after a lazy sunday, theres nothing better to start off the week than being tired because you went to a concert. luckily, this time it was only 2 bands and 45 minutes delay, so yeah, theres that. first off were “A Frame of a Life” with an acoustic set. didnt get to catch a picture, sorry you two. they used a guitar as a drum sometimes, which for me is the equivalent of people dancing to Helene Fischer: its highly confusing. but the show was nice, good voices, maybe a little too slow for me but hey, i am not exactly a music critic anyway.
next up were some guys that i have hoped to see live for some time now: Arliss Nancy! all those fancy beards, tattoos and beanies gave me high expectations, looking good is crucial for sounding good. i think. the show was great, they smoked cigarettes, drank beer, i shot some photos, they suck, (i mean i suck, these guys rule). if you get the chance, go see them live and buy some of their stuff.
thanks to everyone organizing this, it was a great evening. now enough with the mindless rambling, photo-time.

yesterday, the wonderful guys from Hot Shot Music hosted a concert at the infamous SUb Graz, featuring the amazing Deadends , the Liberation Service and Crazy Arm from the UK. check them out if you missed the show, you wont regret it.
the SUb was packed, like.. really packed. i didn´t have a chance to get even close to the first band, Deadends (their first show, by the way).
next up were the infamous Liberation Service. havent seen them in a while, and damn, their new material blew me away. it was so crowded that you could hardly move, which is of course just a bad excuse for my sucking pictures. Continue reading “Deadends/The Liberation Service/Crazy Arm @ SUb,Graz”
