here´s a sequence, for a change. i fucked up 2 tries (he didnt land, luckily) because i was busy switching between shooting this sequence and another trick, where i used flashes. that also explains the amazingly creative angle.
skateboarding can be stressful sometimes. there is a lot of “hit and run” involved, and sometimes the “run”-part comes before the actual “hit”-part is involved. (forget about the “and” part in this scenario…) but at least i can squeeze some kind of story out of it.
same thing happend last time we went to skate this rail. i was trying to try new flash stuff, foolishly thinking “yeah, i have time to experiment with moving the flashes, no need to hurry.”
here i try to get my angle worked out, timmy respectfully didn´t jump onto the rail this time. i wasn´t even close to ready.
in another installment of “hey let´s have a closer look at something in the picture”, how goddamn cool does Wally look like? Continue reading “all rail timmy.”
this summer, Gabriel came up to me and told me that he wanted to die. so i brought him to the biggest kink-rail i knew around here, in the middle of racist drug addicts, homeless immigrants and crazy children and told him to grind it. so there we are.
Philipp tried to film me, so i hid in my hole. i feel safe in my hole.
this summer, the wonderful town of Graz got blessed with a visit from the Supra team with the likes of Jim Greco, Chad Muska, Terry Kennedy, Neen Williams, Tom Penny and others, including a demo and in-shop signing. most of the guys were pretty tired from their tour schedule, but Terry Kennedy was too hyped to skate the biggest rail that we could offer him: the infamous Thalia 13. of course, once word got out at the signing, a giant crew of people wanted to witness this. (by the way, if you haven´t done that already, please check out my new site on FB: https://www.facebook.com/layingbreadcrumbs , thanks!)
julian is a really big fan of Nyjah Huston, Greg Lutzka and Rob Dyrdek. so, in order to become as successful in StreetLeague as those guys, he of course has to go for the biggest rails that come along his way. with moves like this i have to wonder: do i hear Monster knocking on the door? or maybe even Target and Nike?
you go, girl. you go. (if someone actually reads this: buy this guy new shoes. and shave his chest, too.)
today: part 2 of the session. with much more action, drama, pain and stuff.
thats what the boardslide picture should´ve looked like. if i hadn´t cut of andis nose. well. lets call it “creative”. (and yes, that was a make. dont start talking shit.)
after that, the “good ideas” started to come to life. DIY and all, ya know? well, look at that. created with cable straps and shoelaces. nothing could go wrong, right Andi? Continue reading “bad railings.”
went to check out a new spot in town.
