so, it has happened. my first (kinda) serious post. and its about facebook. great.

something that struck me some time ago was “hey, i uploaded pictures to facebook with various sizes and the quality is quite different… why?”

well, the internet helped me quite a lot. i guess it would help you too, or maybe it actually helped you by leading you here. so let me give you the results of my amazing research.

the answer to perfect facebook-resolution is….

– 2048 pixels on the long edge for regular pictures

– 951 x 315 pixels for cover pictures

also: try to keep your image size low, below 100kb in order to minimize compression by facebook.
