every once in a while, i manage to get my ass up and go to a concert. even though it was raining and i had to use the tram, which i hate. but it was worth it, a great evening with The Generators and Heroes´n´Ghosts was motivation enough! it was hot, it was sweaty, it was great. check both bands out and watch them live if you have the chance. they are sexy motherf****. every now and then it happens that incredibly good bands get sucked into the hole known as “Music-House Graz“. and when that happens, its best to show up there.
the latest victims were the superheroes of The Fleshtones (they have their own wikipedia entry, by the way.)
if you knew them before, you knew what was coming up. if you didnt, you fell in love with them. this is how rocknroll stars should grow old – with power, passion and sheer neverending love for music.
the supporting band, Lory Lee and the Flashback Boys, were amazing as well, but i failed to take pictures. yep, i am that good.
anyway, no more boring words, heres the pictures. the show was incredible, if you have the chance to see them, SEE THEM.
this saturday, the musichouse graz saw something that was bigger than expected: not your moms butt, but the ResErection of the Turbojugend Graz! the party was a blast, some people dont remember anything, others nothing, short: it was a success. here are the pictures, aesthetically pleasing and highly artsy (as in “boring and not creative”).
THANKS to everybody that showed up, see you guys soon.
Also, thanks to the bands:
Heroes´n Ghosts played a The Clash Coverset
Sadly i couldnt take any pictures of the Heroes´n Ghosts show cause i had to secure to entrance and collect bribes and stuff… but i heard they were as amazing as always! Continue reading “ResErection!”
yesterday, the wonderful guys from Hot Shot Music hosted a concert at the infamous SUb Graz, featuring the amazing Deadends , the Liberation Service and Crazy Arm from the UK. check them out if you missed the show, you wont regret it.
the SUb was packed, like.. really packed. i didn´t have a chance to get even close to the first band, Deadends (their first show, by the way).
next up were the infamous Liberation Service. havent seen them in a while, and damn, their new material blew me away. it was so crowded that you could hardly move, which is of course just a bad excuse for my sucking pictures. Continue reading “Deadends/The Liberation Service/Crazy Arm @ SUb,Graz”
i happened to have my camera with me, due to unforeseen circumstances only managed to shoot pics of the Riverboat Gamblers though. proves how much i suck, right?
anyway, enjoy the shots that i managed to get. thanks to everyone involved!
Th wonderful James Choice and his band, the bad decisions (how great is that name?) played their release show at the Kunsthure this week. i shot a few pictures. thats it.
opener this night was Mickey Dey, and he played songs, music and stuff.
you guys still reading this? content is all over the place recently. skateboarding, concert pics, and now feet? what is this guy up to?
well, i have a pretty darn good plan what i want to portrait here:
a) check how long it has been since i updated the blog
b) do i have any kind of pic i wanna put online? maybe something to write about?
c) since a) and b) most likely made me cry out in despair, choose some random picture and act all high and mighty about it.
so there you go, blogging 101.
the hype train that follows KADAVAR around is quite big. but unlike other bands, those guys deserve every bit of it. not only is their new album “Abra Kadavar” amazing, their live-shows are even more intense. i had the pleasure to witness one of these, along with the amazing DEATH HAWKS. being the fool that i am, i forgot to take pictures during Death Hawks, but mostly due to the fact that i didnt know much about them and was pretty blown away by their live performance. check those guys out, they deserve it.
here are my impressions of that amazing night:
went to a great concert at the wonderful Club Wakuum yesterday. check out the pictures, and make sure to check out the wonderful, beautiful and <insertsomethingfunny>-ful bands here:
(oh, and iso 12800 on a apsc-camera is a bitch. damn you, noise.)
went to a concert yesterday. took pictures of one band. sorry other bands, i suck. dropped my camera. fuck. went backstage (CAUSE I CAN. I AM THAT IMPORTANT. i kissed the singer once, too.), drank a beer.
you cannot destroy a canon 7d, apparently. lesson learned. end of my amazing story.
