having a knee problem sucks. having a knee problem when the first warm and sunny days of spring are coming up pretty much compares to being kidnapped and forced to sleep with your mom while your dad is watching. think about that for a while, then go on reading this blog update.
done? done thinking about your mom? okay.
talking about your mom, here is herwig. herwig is old and grumpy, but beautiful on the inside (see, like mommy.) here he is sliding a 100km/h bs lipslide. yes!

this saturday the friendly and good looking guys from Wiki Graz and Freedom Skateshop Graz joined forces to host a Miniramp contest. this led to great skating and good times. between judging and looking great i also managed to get a few shots. enjoy.

shortly after the first spot, it started to rain. so we went and got some wonderful Estrella and wandered the streets of Badalona, looking for spots. and food. we did find spots, but goddamn it, spanish people dont like to work on rainy days. after what felt like walking all the way to great britain on foot, we decided to just buy noodles at a supermarket and cook them at the hostel.
where we decided to order pizza.
have you tried ordering pizza without speaking Catalan? its fun. you yell some english words at your phone, some old guy yells something in catalan, and after 30 minutes of wondering if our order actually came through the pizza arrived. yay.

as you might have guessed because of my pulitzer-award-winning title, this is gonna be a series of posts about barcelona.

recently, the rural city of Graz had royal visitors. one royal visitor, to be precise. Jan Federer, from Vienna. yes, the famous city, filled with fiaker, schnitzel and buttloads of culture. we gave our best and showed him around, trying to refresh his memories of years he lost here. because he lives in Vienna now. a better life. a more urban life.
first spot was this great curb in a driveway. Sam was the first to 5050 it.

skateboarding can be stressful sometimes. there is a lot of “hit and run” involved, and sometimes the “run”-part comes before the actual “hit”-part is involved. (forget about the “and” part in this scenario…) but at least i can squeeze some kind of story out of it.
same thing happend last time we went to skate this rail. i was trying to try new flash stuff, foolishly thinking “yeah, i have time to experiment with moving the flashes, no need to hurry.”
here i try to get my angle worked out, timmy respectfully didn´t jump onto the rail this time. i wasn´t even close to ready.
in another installment of “hey let´s have a closer look at something in the picture”, how goddamn cool does Wally look like? Continue reading “all rail timmy.”
here´s the conclusion to the last post. Simon has crazy pop, and crazy style. even his goddamn shadow is stylish. damn. damn damn damn.

soo, its indoor season again. and as much as i hate this skatehall, its better than skating a shitty curb in a windy parking garage. on the other hand, its the perfect chance to play around with my flash and try stuff.
also, its the perfect time to take ridiculous pictures. first off, i am pretty sure that you could make some kind of meme out of Andis face in this one. i used my photoshop skills to enhance it. just.for.you!

so, after failing at the glorious 10-stair, we went on to another spot. there we met up with the filmerteam of “australias most handsome skaterboys”. pictured below.
